In Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s personal library, books share the shelves with works of art. The natural world outside conditions the atmosphere, as if the library contents were breathing in the air exhaled by rocks, leaves and trees. The limited edition book Artist’s Library evolved from time spent exploring the special character of this library. The photographs have been shaped by, among other things, the idea of a connective tissue linking writing and landscape and a powerful attraction to particular titles and texts.
