Laresa Kosloff is a finalist in this year’s Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize for her video work The Bleaching (2024). Premiering last year at the e-flux Screening Room in New York, and making it’s Australian premiere at Sutton Gallery shortly thereafter, the work employs commercial stock footage purchased online to recount the perilous and dystopian tale of an environmental problem outsourced to artificial intelligence (AI).
The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is the highest value art prize for women in Australia and provides a unique platform to engage, connect, support and profile women artists across Australia and internationally.
