On Saturday 28 February Karen Black will speak with NGV curator Sophie Oxenbridge to expand on the artist’s 2025 MECCA Holiday Collaboration currently on display at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia.
On show until 9 March 2026, the display brings together new paintings and ceramics that explore the porous boundary between our interior and exterior worlds. Depicting enigmatic figures in dreamlike landscapes that hover between natural and domestic spaces, these works wrestle with the emotional complexity of contemporary life from a feminist perspective.
