Young | youth in Australian photography: 1980s to now begins with the collection – a living, breathing archive at the heart of the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh). As caretaker of Australia’s only public collection solely dedicated to photography, MAPh holds an extraordinary and ever-evolving record of how we see ourselves and each other. This exhibition draws on this rich resource to explore the idea of youth and how it has been captured, constructed, celebrated and questioned in Australian photography.
