Nusra Latif Qureshi Shallow encounters in deep waters

11 November –
9 December 2023

1.
Yes there will be demons
And the thought
That how do you lure them into poetry
Darkness shelters both
Confronted, wounded hands
Staring at death
Not the sadness but horror
An exercise in letting go
An exercise none the less
Letting go unwillingly

2.
Did you know
You are rain
Drops of gentle words
Kindness sprinkled over parched dust
Droplets, incessant kindness
Love shed like tears of joy
Darkness that is wet and kind like sleep
Dreams woven into water
Peace of eternal sleep
Promise of everlasting hope
Lasting dream
