Gordon Bennett tragically passed away on the 3rd of June 2014. Sutton Gallery had worked with Gordon for over 20 years and it is in this context that we now present Notes to GB, an exhibition that reflects upon and honours Gordon’s legacy. The exhibition is intended to be an open conversation between a small group of Melbourne based contemporary practitioners and Gordon. Notes to GB will present work by Hamishi Farah, Ben McKeown, Tom Nicholson, Lisa Radford, and Peter Waples-Crowe, in addition to a selection of works by Gordon, chosen in consultation with the exhibiting artists.
